I use bags. They give some wind resistance and propably slows down the bike a bit. Bags are usefull when you pick up a few things in town, but not more than that. Also usefull for storing food and drinks for small cruises.
Bags are perhaps old-style, not femine.
I consider taking them of permanently, cause I sometimes feel they are in the way, even though they come in handy sometimes...
